There is a light that never goes out

Suppose you're a bit too much afraid of the darkness of your room, you feel yourself observed by simple being there alone. Is a big room, so the light switch is way so far from your bed. You've already paid for a remote control for the lights, but it stopped working so you're looking for other solution...so here it is!!! No more ghosts surrounding your room, no more creeps looking through your window, no more murderers following you as you turn off your lights and run to your bed. This delay system will stay on as you go to bed by slowly dimming. Feel free to make any suggestions :P

Move capacitor to base, stays on way longer :)

That and you can use a realistically sized cap. 40uF stays on for a decent amount of time.

Another solution is to move it to the gate of a Mosfet and place a 1Mohm discharge resistor. The high gate impedance will keep the capacitor from discharging very quickly. Even a 1uF cap will do unlike BJT's that have inherently low base impedance.
