120volt MAINS with 30amp receptacle/fuse(dryer plug) =3600watt .... Target is to arc(switch closed on open circuit) at 50vdc with 70amp then maintain 20-25vdc with 120amp..this is a good circuit because current doesnt vary that much with resistance of output resistor

What are the 250pH inductor and 900uF electrolytic capacitors on the AC side for? Also, what is the mosfet that shorts the output supposed to do?
