useful circuit for radio transmitter/reciever applications, for example.

with a Rf (feedback resistor) of 1kOhm you dampening the resonator to much. its not a clear resonance point where all precondictions for a good oscillator is given. remember (gain 1+, phase loop modulo 360° = 0°) gain is ok and plenty available, but this seconde condition is not clear with 1kOhm dampening from feedback, look at the bode plot, i tuned the cap for exact 1MHz and 0° phase shift. @hurz It oscillates at 1MHz you just gotta zoom in on the wave after you start it oscillating or it wont display the correct frequency.

Nice circuit @ BIPfx.

with the setup your provided it took ages to oscillate

anyway, everything i said is still valid

The ideal resonant point of the LC tank is 1.125MHz not considering parasitics yet. Are you aiming for that or exactly 1MHz?

thats the reason i have set the capacitor to 25.3nF

Its "simple" to be an vulgar asshole and use rude nasty stupid words and setup an idiotic thread to blame others. But its not so "simple" for you to make good circuit design, my little BPFx. Here you original setup, where its hard to see a working oscillator, anyway i know it can oscillate and i have described it for you, so you can overtake this knowledge for your next design, Pipo. But look for your wording and behaviour, even you got two new fans who like this kind of behaviour. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6149612377997312 if you have futher questions whats wrong with your initial persentation, probably your hormons were already mixed in preparation of the following thread, ask me if you need more info.

@BIPfx, you are allowed to speak in complete sentences! "dont"?
