This is a really neat current protection circuit here, it uses a reasonable amount of components, and its very precise. Its able to drive a pretty high current without hardly dropping in output voltage, and it trips the current very quickly with even the smallest incremental change in the load.
Currently its set for a max cut-off current of 100mA. You can adjust the max current by altering the value of the shunt resistor (traced green on the scope). Also, the load is the one traced red on the scope. To reactivate the circuit, just press the NO push button. After you set your desired current, tune the load resistor gradually down and watch it quickly snap off at the set cut-off current!
