D.C. makes A.C.

This D.C. source induces A.C. to a 5 volt bulb. You can check the conversion to A.C. by viewing both voltage and current cycle through positive and negative waves. Neither the D.C. source or capacitor operate in a A.C. condition, because their voltage never has a negative cycle.

All you'r doing is removing the DC offset from the source voltage and applying it to the bulb.
