I'm not sure it will jam anything. Usually these LED's transmitt control signals in a modulation scheme to interact some negative effects caused by visible light which may interact with the receiver. And modulating it means bringing it up to a much higher frequency than 10Hz. Nevertheless you're on the right path about this keep it up.
