The left 250 uf capacitor is adjustable capacitor and we want to have 500 uf adjustable capacitor. So, add a fixed 250 uf with switch in parallel to have adjustable capacitor at 500 uf.
A small knife switch out front of panel makes adding the extra capacitance when desired easy.
