This filter converts a PWM signal between 0 and 5 V to a sine wave with amplitude 10V. The filter stabilizes after 600us.

A square wave fed to a series of low pass filters outputs a sine wave . If the square wave is seen in the frequency spectrum, it consists of a 1st harmonic or fundamental frequency of a sine wave and all other higher order frequencies are simply sine wave harmonics. Hence in the low pass filtering action all these high order harmonics are blocked and what is left at the output is the fundamental frequency which is a sine wave. The last filter used is a dc blocking filter which only allows ac component of the signal to appear at the non inverting terminal of the op amp. The op amp just amplifies this signal.
