Hit the reset button(one-way switch "on" and "off") it starts at 1-bit(red), then start pulsing the clock input(two-way switch "+" and "-"), it starts cycling 4-bit from red to blue.

This is a pretty ok circuit I guess- you'd be the man if you made it with no magic wires though. And automated, definitely automated. Then, you could wear a big ol'button that says, "I'm cool". And you could wear it with pride, because it would be true...
