I have a question

When i want to build a circuit in real life from my circuits on this app i always stuck with transistor type because i can't find a normal transistor in the market .. So i take them from broken radios and others circuits .. For example i have a transistor with (C945 GR331) written on it , what those letters and numbers mean? It's npn or pnp? How much voltage on the base of the transistor is needed to open the switch (i don't know how to say it). Is there any database or tutorial for that? .. OR is there any way to make that transistor on this app?

Search that number online and read i's datasheet, it will tell you EVERYTHING about it

For that kind of info, I use this website primarily: http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/

You have to see in datasheet's or look in Google

It is 2sc945. This is bipolar tranny and those are activated by current flows between base to emitter (for Npn types, just like that one in a example).

As stated above, google the letters/numbers written on the part along with the word datasheet. Also if you don't mind the wait order your parts on ebay from China. Takes a month to get anything but so cheap it's worth it. I get most things that way, or like you, scavanged from discarded electronics.

use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.demi.electrodroid.octopart

could also be a bc945. it's a little signal transistor, probably good for 100mA at low voltages. use these for small things.

if you want to scavenge, go for the big stuff. power inverters, big televisions, big hifi amplifiers, washing machines, fridges, anything made before the 90s is great to pull big powerful parts from, and they'll have a scattering of smaller stuff

might also be discarded US military gear in kurdistan too. military equipment is made to a much higher standard so the parts are much better and worthwhile for scavenging. cheap chinese or romanian junk is not worth it. eg it's not worth the time and hassle to pull out 5% resistors, but definitely worth getting out the 1%, they cost a lot more. same with big transistors and fets, some of them can be upwards of $10 each

Try to search in the Google: (part_name) datasheet
