Use SPST Switch for START/STOP
& Push Button for RESET.
I am using 555 timer to generate pulse.
By changing 555 timer circuit pulses adjust counter timing.

This circuit has many applications like Pulse Counter,Time counter(stop watch),Object Counter etc.
