Automotive bias voltage on power and ground side. Ecu watches for break in power side and ground.
Left switch is test light. Switches on power and ground with bulb in between is to simulate break in power or ground side.
Switch to transistor is ECU turn on. This circuit is used on cars to monitor all kinds of sensors, motors and actuators.
