can anyone help i have a RC truck and i am trying to add in lights that i can turn on and off with using the transmitter via channel 5 on the receiver. the problem i have is that i need to use a seperate power source of 9v for the led's . the truck runs off the 4.5v supply going to the receiver then to the servos to control the truck. i have a servo board i have used for the switch from channel 5 and thats ok, just the power issues,, if i run it all off 9v then it will be to much power for the receiver ect. if i run the leds from the truck power they dont work. it is probibly simple to sort out...

I don't know why you have to use 9v for the Leds, I would run them in series to cut down waste current, I enclose two options for you to consider. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4860299985551360

You need something like this Turnigy Receiver Controlled Switch https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-receiver-controlled-switch-1.html/?___store=en_us
