Advice/tips/suggestions pls
1) for some reason when the hour should turn over it wont (at 60min mark not by the hr button), trying to fix but not sure whats wrong w it
*bumping it back into community to see if anyone can help me fix the issue under 1.

Why using a 555 timer? Use a square wave oscillator (quartz crystal oscillator). And use reset option of the counter to solve your prob.

Parts i have handy irl (dont like buying parts unless im making something with long term practical use). Im probably missing something (just a hobbiest), but how will using the timers rest fix the issues with the logic gate not passing the signal to the next counter? When minute 60 is hit the hour doesnt increment as it should, the timer only increments the first minute counter. Like i said I probably missed your point or missunderstood, if I did I appologise ll
