There are 3 rows of and-gates the first two are needed to give power to the third row one gate at a time Bottom-right are switches connected to the tird row of gates if the gate is powered it lets current flow through There is also a row of or-gates they are needed to combine all the gate outputs to the 'Data' pin The 'clock' pin is connected to the oscillator, the oscillator speed is the 'clock-speed' The 'Vcc' pin is the positive power input/output (± 5V) The 'gnd' pin is the ground Output: -Vcc (±5V) -clock -data -gnd
