@lenzrulz, why additional and unnecessary components that add no value to the circuit. Simpler always seems better.

i can smell the smoke of potentiometers. Its a nice little class task to take the power curve in 10% steps and maybe finer if maximum is reached. Then check against the potis you have in your boxes.
