This is a text book EVR ment to maintain an output voltage (green trace) under varying input voltages (blue trace) the pot in the middle allows for you to adjust your regulated voltage by decreasing resistance above the wiper you decrease regulated voltage with current resistor values output voltage will be between 16 and 32 vdc
