I had a 4 inch ten led flashlight in my junk drawer that didnt work. So I decided to give it a makeover by adding a 1 watt Luxeon K2 high power led and a 3mm blue led on a diffused modified power button on the bottom of the flashlight. When power is added the diffused power button gradually lights up which looks pretty cool. Not the brightest flashlight out there but a pretty dang good looking one. Questions or comments are welcomed. Oh and i tried to design the circuit above to as close as i could to the real thing. *success kids face*

So you're not getting that K2 as bright as you want yet huh? I'm working on a circuit for ya- it gives very short pulses to the LED allowing for a much higher current draw. As it is right now it'd make an awesome strobe, but I'm trying to get it to pulse fast enough so it appears to be "on". Will try to complete soon..

No sweat G- I just hope I Do help lol. I got a pulse circuit going, but it's kinda, ehh, irregular. Did some net-searching for anything that might help too- seems these Luxeons are usually accompanied by a few other components. Namely a devoted driver IC. There are also dozens of K2's- can you tell exactly which one you've got?..
