Das ist aus der Digitaltechnik eine typische und oft angewendete Spanngsbegrenzerschaltung für TTL- Eingänge bei veränderlicher Ausgangsspannung von z.B  einem Opv. Üblicherweise nimmt man dafür  BAT42- oder BAT43-Dioden, die haben eine Flussspanung von 0,4 Volt, aber die gibt es hier nicht. Die Beschaltung der Dioden sorgt für ein eindeutiges High- oder Low- Signal von ca. + 5,4 und -0,7 Volt.
