Cuk converter ***Allow 30 secs for the circuit to reach steady state*** Cuk converter is a type of converter that allows the output voltage to be either lower or higher than the input voltage. Like the inverting (buck-boost) where the output voltage has a negative sign. A unique feature though is that the Cuk converter is the only one that has non-pulsating both input and output current. The coupling capacitor is critical and must be low ESR, because it carries all the power through. Voltage across the capacitor changes for every cycle, so it must be a non-polarized type also. The voltage conversion ratio is equal to: Vo = - Vi * D / (1-D) where D is duty cycle.
