Yup, added a 12V military battery to it, a switch to turn on two white (wish Igor would make white an option) led strips, one on each strap, and a car power outlet (the blue and green) so I can see at night AND charge a phone/GPS or anything else with a 12V plug. It also has a plug that puts the battery in the bag in parallel with my truck battery so it charged during when not in use. I walk alot, this was my solution to carrying a flashlight.

Wow nice work, thanks man, I do need this a lot, I goes on trails with my mountin bicycle a lot, and I always hate to carry couple of packs that dies on me. This definitely gonna last on my runs. Now I have to add something to this circuits as well :) cheers

Can't argue with success. Good show. What electronics type kid didn't want to do this.

A few days ago i measured some of my white LEDs for a little project i will publish today, and they have each 3.2V around 30mA and are quite bright. 6 of them in series is a little to much. I put 4 of them in strings without limiting resistor cuz even with lower current @12V (4*3.2V=12.8V) they are bright enough and live longer ;-)

These strips have built in resistance and come 3 lights in a strip, all strips tied in ||, you can cut them at the seams and have any length you want (given it doesn't break the runs) and you can solder more together if you want, I like LED strips, pretty cool, I'll throw up a video on G+ of them in action one night :)

I guess the LEDs are then ordered in parallel and have each its own resistor, so you are able to power them always with 12V doesn't matter how many you have cut off the strip. This area of lighting is quite a nice to make some money i think. Together with some gimicks like RF remote control this could be a business. Just do special customized extra expensive solution which you might sell then again with little modifications. Just my 2cent

Well hurz, it takes money to make money- so he'll need a little more than 2 cents from you I think! X^P

Install led lights in bags with push button switches and Li-Ion battery packs that plug into a phone charger, offers USB power ports, and 12V power ports :)

Yes! Business is boring ;) first you need a showroom with all your ideas and demonstrations. Could also your car.

Lol, if I had my truck in a showroom people wouldn't know whether to like it or hate it
