This oscillator uses a 2N3904 NPN, a 2N3906 PNP, a 27 mH coil , 9 volt lamp, resistors as shown......................................... ....................... This oscillator flashes at about 1Hz , I built it and it is flashing right now as I look at it. ..................................................................... In real it doesn't spike like the simulation does. Shake it..............

How do you built a 27 mH coil ? Because i need coils but on

Inductor calculators it says i need like 200turns with a diameter of 18centimetres and it's too big for a small circuit board

I'm talking about a 10mH coil

Hey nikisally, I had two 27 mH coils factory made, there is no brand on them. The number is LH327. I have an inductance meter and that helps when making coils, they sell these meters on ebay they are not to expensive and based on an atmel chip, link below:............................................ .............. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCR-T4-ESR-Meter-Transistor-Tester-Diode-Triode-Capacitance-SCR-Inductance-New-/321694553340?hash=item4ae67d54fc

Experimented with this circuit, I removed the coil and turned power on it started flashing without the coil........... .............................................................It works in real two transistors and a lamp, simplest yet oscillator, it does not work within EC, it has to have the coil. That was disappointing.
