connected across the load (green). Power Mosfet sinks the load current. If the sink current gets too high, the voltage between the load and sink goes high, causing the switch transistor to pull the gate down. Current then flows through the switch transistor, bypassing the load altogether. Sink current threshold is defined by the switch transistor bias; in this simulation it's set for 2.2A at 5V
