Simple RC - why is it oscillating? I can’t work it out. Thanks

I know what I want to say but don't have the technical knowledge to say it correctly. But, the resistor is draining the energy attempting to be stored in the capacitor and the source is trying to charge the capacitor. EC doesn't show heat loss either. Maybe this circuit will help _ _ http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6011425823391744 _ _ I hope!!!!

The reason the green oscillates is because EveryCircuit intentionally adds noise to capacitors to help kickstart oscillators and such. There is no physical reason that these oscillations would occur except for thermal and electromagnetic noise (which EC doesn’t simulate), but those have a different waveforms and aren’t specific to capacitors.
