The simplest of AM generating circuits. Carrier signal is set at 8 KHz, data signal is at 700 Hz. The resistor network linearly adds the signals, the diode acts as a rectifier, and the LC parallel tank is tuned to resonate at the carrier's 8 Khz, which will reintroduce the negative half of the rectified wave to the signal.
