Transient responses of RLC - 3 different dampening examples

Flip the switch to see 3 different dampening levels. All inductors are 47mH, all caps are 47nF. The RLC resistor values directly affect the dampening of the transient response incurred when 5v is suddenly applied. Under dampening: 400 ohm (blue) Critical dampening: 2 kohm (green) Over dampening: 6 kohm (orange) The ground at the top left is only used to reset the simulation. Make sure sampling speed is 200 micro seconds. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RLC_circuit#Transient_response

Good one!

One thing, I would remove the 2k to ground. So jump up and jump down have the same resistive generator conditions, zero ohm.
