Ac power transformed down and cleaned up and turned into Dc and regulated through a Zenor diode and feeding a led.

One ground too much l, you decide which ground you use as reference, the one before the recrifier or the one after the rectifier. But both connected do short the rectifier, check here the current http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5112668838166528

after we decide to use just one ground and take the one on the right side, so the one after the rectifier. We have to correct the diodes inside the rectifier. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6191688371666944

and what you call a regulation by a zener is actually just an additional voltage drop of extra 10V zener voltage while the rest you drop at resistor and 7V LED ! If we correct the mains voltage to peak 311 which is 220VAC in rms, we can see the LED voltage needs to be increased to 18,x volt, this is not a regulation! http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4696269510672384
