We have seen this already a few days ago, you need more feedback or are you having questions?

This circuit works better without the current source.

This circuit is from configuration questable. Right the current source in series with a voltage source doesn't make it good. Two times 1H inductor in series.... 2x Double crossing transistor pairs. Everything is unrealistic BUT it can be made realistic. So its not total nonsense its just missing a good feeling for values. Practical experience is missing. So a lot room for improvment, but at least its a start.

Better no comment to the headline content ... 😁

I appreciate the comments, but be careful when making assumptions. There is nothing unrealistic with the circuit topology. This is how voltage controlled RF oscillators are actually made on-silicon. The dual cross coupled pair prevents the swing from exceeding the supply rails, avoiding potential oxide or junction damage. The current source (model of a MOSFET current generator) reduces the impact of supply noise on the output at the expense of reduced swing, while allowing an accirate control on the output swing across Process-Voltage-Temperature variations. What is NOT realistic is the frequency of operation (hence the large-valued components), chosen low to allow the simulator to operate properly and in a reasonable tima. If you try and reduce the L and C values by the same amount down to pH and fF range (which are reasonable values), you will see that the simulator - at least on mobile devices- fails to correctly compute derivatives and thus converge, damping the oscillation and forcing the user to wait for a ridiculously long transient to exhaust.

I dont know whats your problem with realistic values for off-chip components like LC, check this http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6743531489329152

Try to go down to realistic values for ON-chip components, like 100pH and 200fF in your circuit. You'll see what I'm talking about, at least on a mobile device.

Is this a reason to start with two times 1Henry in series?
