Simple demonstration of multiplexing. Using two square wave inputs that are out of phase. Red is combined output. 

Learning about pulse code modulation in class and wanted to see analog multiplexing for myself.

Multiplexers are used everywhere, they make communication, TV, video,radio, etc. possible.
