Very simple example of using binary inputs on far left starting on top with 1 followed downward by 2, 4 and 8 digits. Bottom input for decimal point only. Follow normal binary logic for alternate digits between 0 and nine. No inputs on represents digit zero by default. For instance, turn on top input representing digit 1 and 3rd input down representing digit 4 for a total of the number 5 which will then be displayed. Follow same additive logic to continue into hexadecimal ending in F for digit 15. Also assume that circuit is ground referenced and that turning inputs on supplies +5vdc to decoding IC by power supply not shown. Hope this is helpful for beginners. d...
