Sorry to crush your dreams, but with those values there's no fading at all. If you turn the simulation speed to "reality" (1sec/sec) the LED goes dark instantly. To make it work you should dial up the capacitor to 4700-10000μF. And you should change the resistor's value to about 470R to keep it's current under (the most common) 20mA.
