Where is the voltage coming from after releasing the high switch?

The gates are powered independently, but PS is not shown.

The logic gate has its power supply from its IC chip ideally in a circuit. When the high switch is pressed it holds the gate on by sending 5v from the source voltage to the gate input and outputs a logic one of 5v. The logic feedback resistor sends back the 5v output to sit on the gate inputs, and when the switch is released the 5v from the output is still feeding back to the inputs and the gate stays constantly locked on by the 5v feedback loop into the inputs.
