When taxi light is activated (switch closed), only the taxi light illuminates. When the landing light is activated (other switch closed), both lights illuminate for maximum lighting.

13.8 volts to landing lights in America with white floodlights lamps. They put out some serious light.

A lot of Aircraft landing lights are rated at 24Volts.
