Capacitor as Emergency Water Heater

An old aluminum plate variable condenser can be connected in series with 120 volt A.C. line voltage and suspended by a string in the water to make emergency water heater.

Adjust capacitor rotor plates to 600 watt range.  600 watts = 120 volts times 5 amps.
