Increase simulator speed to 100ms/s and place a SPST switch in the NO position across both emitters. Once you close the SPST switch, the LED's will begin alternately flashing - http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5623145660153856

No switch needed. Lower voltage to 3V, lower LED resistors from 470 ohm to 47 ohm and increase sim speed to 100ms/s.
