all the resistances with labeled with 1 kilo ohm are on different level as when the water level reach the first one of them the voltage across the transistor base occur and the gate is opnened (as a switch ) and the current reach the light emitting diode and when the the water level reaches the second one the second diode (different colour ) light up and also for the third snd fourth one.
