This circuit  is made to charge high voltage capacitors for a coilgun or something similar you can use anormal trnsformer and an 1n4007 diode the other components are in the diagram.
I think this is good for charging coilgun's capacitors.

Secondary inductivity results in about 430H! reduce the transformer ratio to a more realistic one. Turn the diode around and use the negative voltage. Or change primery polarity. And check the supply current, its going into saturation, so frequency could be doubled (4.7uF@555) to still charge the transformer proper and not wasting energy. Ahh,and let the sim run at 10ms/s
