Is this issue with EC ever going to be fixed ? - that closed regulation-loops involving opamps cannot be solved :-(

Thank your for your suggestion faceblast. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to remedy the issue :-/ I dont quite see the point either. This issue pervades all such circuits, where an op-amp is controlling a transistor (at the regulating component) in a feedback-loop. This is very common in linear PSU's etc. When ever the loop i closed, it cannot be solved :-(

Recently I was advised to incorporate a switch in such circuits, so the simulation can be started with open loop. That worked fine elsewhere. Here the simulator just crashes with an error-message, when the switch i closed :-/

The crash-condition is apparently solved by lowering the op-amp gain to 1K (as a work-around)..

But ajusting other values (resistors etc.) will still induce crashes :-/
