This is supposed to be an astable multivibrator. But it doesn't oscillate. Introducing noise also doesn't change anything!

I would say its a wrong simulation setup on your side. Change simspeed to about 1ms/s and shake to start

It depends on simspeed how far a timestep is calculated. EC does 1/20 step size per sim periode e.g. for 1s simtime it does calculate what will happened every 50ms! But your oscillator running at 455Hz at least ever ~1/455Hz*2=1.1ms there is a change at oscillator output, not speaking about the analog charge and discharge voltage at the cap which needs to be precise more steps to be accurate. With 1ms/s EC does calc every 50us. If simspeed is to fast then we talk about undersampling. Check for more at google "shannon sampling theorem". Hope this helps.
