Good circuit layout, but there is a couple of basic circuit principles that might help. 1. A led rated at 20mA should not have much more than 20mA going through it. 2. The transistor base current should not be more than the collector current, as a matter of fact if the transistor has a gain of 100, the base current should be less than100th of the collector current. 3. If a led flashes at a rate greater than 20Hz it will appear to be permanently on, so keep your flash rate down. 4. If a circuit won't simulate at a 1 second rate, it probably won't work in real time. ....
