Objective:
Using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff's Law, predict the current flow and voltage drop of each
component in the circuit. Verify predictions with measurements.
Outcomes:
Practical understanding of Ohm's and Kirchhoff's circuit laws in circuit analysis.
Pre lab question:
How many nodes are in configuration A&B? How many loops?
Pre lab work:
Perform the predicted values calculations. Show your work to the right of the answer
spaces below.
Procedure:
1. Assemble circuit as shown in configuration A.
2. Predict the voltage drop across each resistor and record measure values.
3. Predict current flow through the circuit, measure and record results.
4. Assemble circuit as shown in configuration B. You can add on to the first
circuit configuration.
5. Using KVL and KCL predict the voltages across each resistor and the currents
through each.
6. Do the same with configuration C. Again, add on to the existing circuit.
7. Measure all results.
