Even though the circuit is both series and parallel leds, might to look at this website. _ _ http://lednique.com/parallel-leds/

You need to find out the voltage and amperage of each led in the string. (Probably all the same, i.e. 2v 20ma) Assuming the unit is one led at 2v 20ma, then a 9v battery supply would look like this. 9v-2v=7vĂ·20ma(.020)=350ohm series current limiting resistor would let it function properly. If there are multiple leds need to figure out if they are in series or parallel or combination of both. I'll be glad to help if I can.
