⭐️Inductor basics⭐️

When a current flows within a conductor, whether it be straight or in the form of a coil, a magnetic field builds up around it and this affects the way in which the current builds up after the circuit is made.

As the circuit is made the current starts to flow. Then as the current increases to its steady value, the magnetic field it produces builds up to its final shape. As this occurs, the magnetic field is changing, so this induces a voltage back into the coil itself, as would be expected according to Lenz's Law. 

When the current is switched off this means that effectively the resistance of the circuit rises suddenly to infinity. This means that the ratio L / R becomes very small and the magnetic field falls very rapidly. This represents a large change in magnetic field and accordingly the inductance tries to keep the current flowing and a back EMF is set up to oppose this arising from the energy stored in the magnetic field. The voltages mean that sparks can appear across the switch contact, especially just as the contact is broken. This leads to pitted contacts and wear on any mechanical switches. In electronic circuits this back EMF can destroy semiconductor devices and therefore ways of reducing this back EMF are often employed.

He’s incapable of thinking for himself and posts incoherent dribble specifically on my circuits making all sorts of untenable assertions. His deplorable behaviour has been reported to the admins on several occasions.

I’m never in trouble debunking foolish statements my friend. And you probably never noticed that the evidence speaks for itself, no one needs to believe me, all they need to believe is the evidence. And I don’t need to look good for anyone nor do I need to masquerade as being a teacher or anything else you could possibly imagine.

In most countries, what is happening here would be considered as Illegal, that a couple of people who consider themselves better than others would contine to pick on, harass and apply belittling behaviour with the purpose of trying to force other people off a site. Having followed this BS from the start, I am convinced that if the victim asked the publishers of this program to take leagle action in the country of origin, some people would be spanked, actually I am surprised that they haven't done something conclusive already. If not Google could be asked to step in.

In your opinions I cannot criticise mistakes or false publishing style of poor lenz, just under comunist or nazist policies this could be a forbidden behavior. @billyT, I write for myself not for Kiani o bush or hurz etc, I do not want that a man like lenz goes off the site, read his projects is for me a medicine for laught and is not a priority in my life. I'm not surprised for they haven't done something definitively how you hope, simply because there is not any legal reason to do this. Using civil language should be totally illegal exclude someone. But here there is not offenses, except perhaps Tedsky words. I just saw that circuit, but it's the first circuit of that author, could be just a temporarely attempt to see how happens publishing in EC. And anycase what I have to say him about a ground? Is not wrong or is not announced as one of the seven marvelous things of the world. If you search well in EC you could see I wrote more comments on others than on the yours in this last weeks and generally I place not much comments and projects due my few time available.

No my dear, if my comments predominantly appear (is not true, anyway speaking in numbers which ratio do you assign to "predominantly"???) on your circuits is simply because you predominantly (respect the other users) publish wrong circuits, entitled with pirotechnic stars, described with wrong concepts copied from the first webpage found, drawn as pictorial concept, without any possibility to have tech explanations by you because you want as your primary scope is "publish something often the same circuits" even if you do not know how they work. It's not easy find other one or two users having the same your characteristics, this explain well the word predominatly.

There is who often post circuits, good or honestly asking explanations, who post more rarely due the time available or because they simply have not nothing good to post, others that publish whatever not working and pretend in their descriptions to describe what is not. Last time I published a WORKING circuit was about a potentiometer lighting two leds correcting another user that after seeing the mine added "this circuit is only for demonstration concepts". Few days before I added a WORKING project about beta bjt measure. My previous post is a prove of nothing dear lenz, except perhaps for your mind, your claim that I could not to comment your circuit is founded on any legal bases, you have to understand this point or is perfectly useless continue to chat. You just posted a circuit to test if I wrote something in? No, today I have better thing to do, I tried to have a civil discussion with you but you are only able to threaten, uselessly. By by lenz I have no other to say to you, I will comments your and the of the others circuits as I will want, sometime yes sometime no, depending by my time available or how much are wrongs. This thread is fully scheenshooted by me, good luck.

Good lenz, when some months ago I used a wrong and bad language admin rightly blocked me for one or two days I do not remember, was a right decision and I was happy for this. After that block that I already payed, I decided to use only appropriate language and instead you and Tedski NO, using words like stupid idiot and so on. I also ask to Mr. PrakashShah to write publically if everyone can post comments or not to your circuit, using adeguate language.

@ajalmarster, I believe the negative bias must be more than the largest positive swing of the signal. Otherwise, the grid would turn positive and siphon off electrons as they pass through. On the other hand, the bias mustn't be overly negative. You might consider adding to the inverting operational amplifier in which the non-inverting input is used to add a voltage offset, for instance half of Vcc, which is sometimes done in case of single power supply not to lose the negative portion of the input signal, shifting it all to the positive voltage domain.
