How would you “guarantee” at least 3V across the LED, even if the source wasn’t 3V? For example, say it’s powered by a solar panel. If I didn’t want the LED to run at all unless it had 3V or greater, how would we enforce that? Right now, if the source isn’t 3V, it bypasses the zener and goes straight to the LED.
