The old trick of increasing the voltage gain in the common collector push-pull output stage. Compare the two schematics.

It was used in some portable transistor radios in the past. A little disadvantage of this specific design is that there is a dc current passing through the speaker.

Just remove the DC bias with cap inline with output and resistor to ground. :)

@wolframore, thats the trick to get a bootstrap over the coupling capacitor for the loudspeaker

The only DC present in the speaker seems only to be a few mA, so it doesn’t need to be worried about.
