Great circuit. Just a quick point: I would probably connect the AND logic gate to the counter “reset” pin rather than the counter “load” pin.

Segment B contains a 20mA LED the center one. This lets this segment looks darker then the others. Anyway, thats the reason why LEDs in parallel without resistors for equal current distribution not a good idea. LEDs are always a little different from production.
