This I give credit to thomaslss oscilloscope circuit , the 'analogue' sine wave is directly switching the registers, took a lot of tweaking! Used hurz's 555 abuser ;) . 9 lights arranged so that the voltage difference between outputs is driving each bulb to get the dot effect, Knight rider lives on...almost!
