I was playing around with 555 ICs specifically NE555 and KA555, I constructed an astable multivibrator and to my surprise it didn't work with both ICs, I replaced the resistors, capacitors, breadboard ...... after hours of trying I got bored and removed all the parts except the jumper cables and the 555 iC (Like the circuit I posted) , this is where things got crazy, when I place my finger or any thing else near the IC (3 cm) the LED at the output lit up, I thought it was loose connection or some kind of fault on the bradboard but the same thing happened on othe breadboard and other ic, I really don't know WTF is going on here, so please help guys

Floating terminals will become antennas and receivers??? Check voltage.

Resistor or resistors and capacitor needed first of all. Study some working 555 circuits.

I must agree with Rich11292000, your body, the power supply, or both have significant AC Voltage. The 555 inputs are high impedance Op Amp / Comparator. Picks up enough voltage to cycle the chip through both output states.
