In first column change the value of resistor to 500 ohm to obtain max light from LED

If we're going to get down to brass tacks about it, the resistances should be 500, 400, 300, & 200, left to right. Then you would use whatever standard resistance values you have that are just above those numbers. Such as 560, 470, 330, & 220.
