Beginning of a circuit to convert 120 AC to 12v DC. Probably still needs further filtering and a precision voltage regulator as it is currently in unregulated.

Hi, you need a resistor to limit the amps through the zener (can not handle 2A) and the capacitor should be next to it with higher value sens 470uf.
